LEGAL / TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms & conditions.

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile applications operated by PhiLaw Education Apps ("we," "our," or "us") — including PH Republic Acts, Revised Penal Code, 1987 Philippine Constitution, Rules of Court, Civil Code, Labor Code, PH Family Code, and Revised Tax and Corp Code (collectively, the "Apps") — and the philaw.org website. By downloading, installing, or using the Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.

Not Legal Advice

Our Apps provide access to Philippine legal texts and related study materials for general educational and reference purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified lawyer. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate and current, we do not warrant that it is complete, error-free, or up to date. Always verify legal texts against official sources and consult a licensed professional before acting on any legal matter.

Use of the Apps

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Apps for your own lawful, non-commercial educational purposes. You agree not to:

  • Copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the Apps or their content except as permitted by law
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Apps, except where such restriction is prohibited by law
  • Use the Apps in any way that disrupts, damages, or impairs their operation or the experience of other users
  • Use the Apps for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation

Accounts and Subscriptions

Some features are offered free of charge, while others ("PRO" features) require a paid subscription purchased through the Google Play Store. Subscription payments, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Google Play in accordance with its terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.

Certain features may require you to sign in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials you use and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Intellectual Property

The Apps, including their design, features, logos, and original content, are the property of PhiLaw Education Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The underlying legal texts are public documents; our compilation, formatting, study aids, and software are not, and may not be reused without our permission except as allowed by law.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

Our Apps may display advertisements and use third-party services such as Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase. Your use of the Apps is also subject to the terms and policies of these providers and of the Google Play Store. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how information is collected and used.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Apps are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Apps will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhiLaw Education Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Apps — including any reliance on content presented within them.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
